I learned that finding out your dad has been alive for all the years you most needed him would be life changing.
Not only does this book has "super" powers but it has original vampire myths too such as burning in the sun, illness of garlic, and stakes in the pumping heart. Anyone who loves vampires, slayers, and "super" powers will love the action that is taking place in this book. I recommend this to Twilight lovers, people who love drama, action, descriptive books, and bloodsuckers. Will it be a happy ending or a bad ending for Vlad? That's for you to answer. Vlad has found his answers and made true decisions after he saved Bathory but still is recovering from the death of Nelly, who his dad was responsible for killing her. The only choice Vlad has is to kill his dad for crimes he was deeply needing to be punished for, and his so called companion was his death buddy too. Vlad teams up with Joss, who is now his friend, Henry, and Otis. While that happens the Slayer Society is going to wipe out Bathory completely. Thomas decides to team up with Vikas, who has been his Companion ever since his own turn, and take the powers from his son. Thomas is a "bad-guy" and wants Vlad's powers.
He is also making a decision whether or not he will turn Eddie into a vampire which also piles on more stress but Vlad is finally putting the pieces together and making the decision of turning Eddie and there's a twist. One of them of him over powering human kind. While everyone is disappointed in Thomas, Vlad's dad, Vlad is only thinking of the visions he had. Vlad kept seeing his dad and was proven he was alive when Otis saw him. His dad said things to Vlad that Vlad never would've believed if they weren't actually leaving his lips. his dad!?! Vlad thought it must've been a side affect from Dorian's blood because Dorian had visions too. Vlad was about to break Joss's bones until he sees someone he hasn't seen since day of his mother's and father's death. Vlad was so furious he wanted to literally kill Joss. Vlad had no choice but to drink HIS blood. Dorian is dead in his hands.Dorian was a physco when it came to Vlad's blood and he never got what he desired.
